Chepstow winner Senior Citizen “could be the real deal”
Owner Max McNeill, who looks to have an exciting recruit to fences in yesterday’s Tom George-trained winner The World’s End, topped up his Chepstow celebrations with a winner for us, Senior Citizen in the maiden hurdle.
Two of Senior Citizen’s rivals came down at the last couple of flights when in contention, but, while that simplified matters, our fellow jumped really well and could be quite exciting.
Max echoed those thoughts and said:”Alan likes Senior Citizen and he has come back a bigger and stronger horse after his summer break. He could be the real deal.”
We are back on the Flat at Nottingham today, when Peckinpah, who belied odds of 50-1 when running with plenty of promise to finish sixth at York on his debut, goes in the opener.
