Alan will be heartened by the splendid runs of both Yanworth and Dusky Legend this week, and, hopefully, whatever happens on the final day of the Festival, we can finish the week on a high at Kempton tomorrow.

Summing up his thoughts, Alan said:”Simply A Legend did not make the cut for the Martin Pipe, so we have re-routed him down the M3 for the Silver Plate. He has been running well all season and should be thereabouts. We have also declared Salmanazar for that race, but he needs to survive the cut-off.

Mirkat runs in the two miles and five novice hurdle. He has been disappointing, but he has had a few issues and we hope that a recent wind operation will make a difference,

Thomas Shelby showed plenty of promise on his debut at the last Kempton meeting and looks as if he has improved for the experience, so he should run well in the bumper, in which we will also run Too Far Gone if he survives the ballot.”
