Wayne Hutchinson returns from injury – here’s hoping!
Wayne Hutchinson returns from injury at Market Rasen on Saturday, and Alan has come up with two solid chances in an attempt to get his stable jockey back with a bang.
Production, who makes his jumping debut in the juvenile hurdle, won twice on the Flat for Richard Hannon and has looked the part both on the gallops and the schooling grounds since he joined us last month. He must be in with a big shout with the ground likely to suit him.
Scarlet Dragon was a classy novice hurdler last season and signed off with an excellent fourth in a Listed hurdle at Sandown’s final meeting in April. He will strip fitter than some, having been running on the Flat through the summer, including running a good third in a hot handicap at Newbury last week, and the track should suit him, too.
Tom Cannon rides Midnight Maestro in the handicap chase. He won over hurdles here so the course suits him as well, and, though he has yet to break his duck over fences, he ran his best race yet when only just run out of it from the last at Uttoxeter on his most recent run.
