Midweek is light but we have some interesting runners
Deyrann de Carjac makes his chasing debut at Cartmel this evening and, while he looks to have two big dangers in this small field, it will be interesting to see how he takes the transition to fences.
He was a useful hurdler and won this time last year at Warwick, after which he gave the smart Pym a run for his money at Chepstow and then tipped up when still in contention at the second last at Cheltenham.
Deyrann de Carjac then found one too good both at Huntingdon and Market Rasen, but, while slightly disappointing at Ayr last month, he looks to have solid claims here.
We have a couple of fillies running on the Flat tomorrow, Kismat at Wetherby and Chicago Doll at Sandown, and both were returning from eight-month breaks when reappearing at Yarmouth and Wolverhampton respectively earlier this month.
Kismat shaped with promise on her first run since she underwent a wind operation, while Chicago Doll, who had been catching the eye on the gallops, was staying on well in third place on her first attempt in a handicap, and, unlike at Dunstall Park, she now races against her own sex only.
