Scarlet Dragon chases compensation at Lingfield
Scarlet Dragon has been a solid performer both in Listed and Group 3 company, so dropped in grade for the 12f conditions race at Lingfield on Wednesday he has a great chance to get back on track.
Alan said:”Scarlet Dragon was carried wide turning for home in the Quebec Stakes over the course before Christmas which probably cost him second place.”
Scarlet Dragon has come out of that race well and is in good form, but, though he is best in at the weights here in what has been reduced to a three-runner race, these small field affairs can prove tactical, so we must hope we get the rub of the green.
Talkischeap, who has his third run over fences in the novice chase at Doncaster, has just the one opponent,.
Alan added:”Talkischeap has twice taken on the smart La Bague Au Roi and has acquitted himself well on both occasions, and, though he has been absent since November, we have just been waiting for the ground.
“He, too, has been in good form at home, the step up to three miles should suit him and, hopefully, this will act as a good confidence-booster,”
