Plenty to celebrate in first half of May

Half-way through May and all’s well at Barbury – six winners this month already, plus another 11 finishing in the frame, including Who Dares Wins, who ran such a plucky race in the Chester Cup, so Alan is hoping that part will be equally productive.

Reflecting on our two winners on Saturday, Alan said:”Saturday morning’s rain dampened my enthusiasm for Mia’s Storm at Haydock, but the ground was not as bad as I feared and she won well. She’ll go chasing next season, while Paddy Boss made a winning debut in the bumper at Warwick and will go hurdling next winter.”

We have three runners today, two over jumps at Kempton with one on the Flat at Windsor, while we have entries this week all over the place, including Newbury, York and Aintree, so we continue to tick along and are busy enough.
