Alan hopes to get his 2022 Flat team rolling at Wolverhampton on Monday, when he runs both Rainbow Dreamer and Coeur de Lion in the fast-track qualifier for all-weather finals day at Newcastle on Good Friday.

Alan said:”Rainbow Dreamer was only just ready for his comeback at Newcastle after his proper summer break, so I was delighted with his run there last month.

“That track suits Rainbow Dreamer so I am pleased finals day is there this year, but he has won and been beaten a head in two visits to Wolverhampton so no worries on that score, and he has been in very good form at home. He’ll probably have one more run, at Kempton next month, before having another crack at the All-Weather Marathon.”

Running Coeur de Lion was a late decision, but only three oppose the Barbury pair and Coeur de Lion’s recent run at Newbury will have blown away the cobwebs as it was his first race since Glorious Goodwood.
