Sceau Royal ran a blinder under his penalty in the novice chase at Cheltenham yesterday, and we are back there today with The Tourard Man, who runs off topweight in the first of the Pertemps qualifiers, having already been placed in two of their finals. We also have Burguillos, off since July, returning in the big mile and a half handicap on the Flat at Doncaster, with Ryan Moore booked.

And tomorrow veteran Smad Place makes his seasonal debut in the Old Roan Chase at Aintree, and Alan said:”The old boy has been as enthusiastic as ever at home and seems in great form. He falls between two stools in that life is tough for him in handicaps, yet he isn’t quite up to taking on the best, but he’s enjoying himself and while that remains the case we will carry on with him.”
