Bottomlesss ground at Ffos Las has meant that Blue Tempus will not now be taking the long trip down the M4, so Insanity, our Ascot winner who we previewed for today’s York venture earlier in the week, is our only runner of the day.

However, we will be involved at York tomorrow, with Paradias looking a live contender for the Heritage Handicap over a mile and a quarter. He was a worthy winner of a similarly hot handicap over a furlong shorter at Glorious Goodwood three weeks ago, and, though now 3lb higher, he revels on this fast ground so if he reproduces that form he would be a major player here.

Granted, Paradias has not made the frame in two previous visits to the Knavesmire, but he was too keen on both occasions and never settled. He was much more relaxed at Goodwood, so, hopefully, the penny has dropped and he has learned how to switch off in the early part of a race, The in-form Rossa Ryan, who was aboard on the Sussex course, again takes the mount.
