Lionella drops back in class at Lingfield with the switch in surface not a problem

We have had half a dozen finish in the frame since Forget the Way got Barbury off to a flying start in August in the Edwardstone colours at Worcester, but we have yet to hit the bullseye.

Cieren Fallon has been booked for Lionella, who has only five opponents at Lingfield’s evening meeting tomorrow. This filly was a good winner of a Class 5 affair at Sandown in June, but she never fired when trying to follow-up in a grade higher event on the same course three weeks later.

Lionella drops back to Class 5 company at Lingfield for what will be her third race on the all-weather. She shaped very well over this polytrack course back in April when runner-up to a subsequent dual winner, so the surface is not a problem. Here’s hoping that Lionella might be the one to get us rolling again.

We also have just the one runner on Sunday, One Cool Dreamer, a two-year-old making his debut in the Rainbow Dreamer colours of the Maple Street Partnership.

Alan has given his youngsters plenty of time, having been held up by the drying ground when he was looking to get them started. But One Cool Dreamer, the mount of Liam Keniry, was bought at Tattersalls Breeze-Up Sales for 70,000gns at the Newmarket Craven meeting in April, so we are looking forward to see how this son of Oasis Dream shapes up.
