Smad Place

The eye catching grey gelding, Smad Place (2007), remembered for his 12 length victory in the 2015 Hennessy Gold Cup under Wayne Hutchinson, retired from racing in 2018 having won 9 of his 37 career starts. Smad Place, owned by Trish and Peter Andrews is now a “family pet” in the care of Sarah, who is retraining him to do a variety of disciplines. He has also been appointed as an equine ambassador for ‘WellChild’ , the official charity partner of The Festival.
